ISLAMIC, Umayyad Caliphate. Uncertain period (post-reform), AH 77-132 / AD 697-750. Drachm (Silver, 32 mm, 4.00 g, 11 h), Eastern Sistan series, SK (Sijistan), blundered date, struck circa AH 107-132 = circa AD 725-750. Crowned and draped Sasanian-style bust to right; behind head, AFZUT GDH ('may his kingship increase' in Pahlawi); before head, Khosrau in Pahlawi; in outer margin, 'GYWL' in Pahlawi, 'bism Allah' ('In the name of Allah' in Kufic) and 'Rabbi' ('my Lord' in Kufic). Rev. Fire altar flanked by two attendants; to left, blundered date; to right, SK name of the mint in Pahlawi. Album 78. Rare. Minor edge crack, otherwise, extremely fine.
